Music Videos on CD/DVD Combined Digi-Packs:

PREVIOUSTLY, DIGI-PACKS MEANT CDS AND WATCHING MUSIC VIDEOS WAS PURELY AN ONLINE ACTIVITY. HOWEVER, NOW YOU CAN WATCH MUSIC VIDEOS AND SEE HOW THEY WERE MADE ON SPECIAL EDITION CD/DVD DIGI-PACKS.

This is common now which means we could include our music video as a feature of our digi-pack. However, this probably wont be necessary as this is uncommon when it comes to singles as watching music videos is still primarily an online experience. In the future this could be big, but now it is not now so we will probably only include the song in our digi-pack. Single digi-packs often include other songs from the album as additinal extras to entice music fans to buy them. However, as most people download music online or via Itunes this will probably not be necessary. As a result of all this the digi-pack will most likely only contain the one song 'Friday Nights.'

Here are some examples of CD/DVD digi-packs:

Biffy Clyro "Only Revolutions" Deluxe Version:

This includes the CD with the full track list as well as an extra DVD disk with 11 music videos, behind the scenes footage, photos and a 45 minute film. It is uncommon for a digi-pack to contain so much stuff which makes products like this expensive. As a result Biffy Clyro's hardcore fans [a term to describe those really into the band] will buy this product whilst most will most likely buy the normal version of the album or download songs online. For the additional footage they will search online on websites such as Youtube. Biffy Clyro is of the Rock-Pop genre where products like this are more common than in the Indie genre. This means that Pistola Kicks is not likely to release a product like this and if they do it will be when they are more well known by the wider public with a strong fan base.

Thirty Seconds to Mars "A Beatuiful Lie" Deluxe Edition:

Once again this is the deluxe edition of an album from a popular Rock-Pop band. Products like these are most likely to sell if the band in question is successful with a established fan base. This means that creating the digi-pack in this way would be a waste of money and effort as Pistola Kicks is still reletively unknown and has just recently released their EP album including the song "Friday Nights." They are also of the wrong genre. This product includes the standard CD and a DVD disk with 2 music videos, behind the scenes footage and some promotional MTV material. This is smaller in scale to the Biffy Clyro deluxe edition because the band is less mainstream.
