Mise-en-scene:

MALE OUTFITS

It's not only my outfit that has to be considered when it comes to the mise-en-scene of the performance shots but the male outfits too.

Here are 'Kings of Leon.' They are wearing black jeans, shirts, t-shirts, cardigans and leather jackets. Two of them have scene hair (fringey.) I cannot use hair styles as a convention of male Indie fashion as the band members generally don't have Indie hair. However, they could wear jeans and shirts/t-shirts/leather/cardigans/skinny ties.

Here are 'Bombay Bicycle Club.' Once again they are wearing black jeans and t-shirts only with an additional hooded top. Hooded jackets are not a convention of the Indie genre so I don't think I'll include this.

Here are 'The Confusions.' The men are wearing jeans, t-shirts and jackets. So is the woman [this is very unconventional as she blends in with 'the boys.']

Here are 'The Pigeon Detectives.' Two of them have 'Indie Scene' haircuts [fringey and almost bowl like] whilst another has a curly head of hair. This is common for Indie bands. However, hairstyles do not matter with the mise-en-scene of the performance shots. They are wearing leather jackets or jackets with t-shirts and jeans. If shoes were in the frame they would be wearing Converse.

Here are 'Vampire Weekend.' These Indie men are dressed in a rather unconventional way. Instead of jeans they are wearing trousers and there is no sign of leather. They are wearing jackets, cardigans, and long sleeved tops.

Here are 'Arctic Monkeys.' They are wearing jeans [which are not all black] and jackets. They are wearing Converse type shoes or plimsolls.

Here are 'Franz Ferdinand'. They are wearing black jeans, jackets/coats, shirts and scarfs. The scarfs are probably because of the weather rather than fashion. There are plimsolls on their feet apart from those in smart shoes.

As a result of this research the male members of the band will wear black [or dark] jeans, shirts/t-shirts and jackets [possibly leather] and Converse type shoes. However, they may wear casual clothing such as shirts and jeans - either is typically Indie.
