Magazine Advert Locations:

THERE ARE MANY PLACES WHERE THE MAGAZINE ADVERT FOR PISTOLA KICK'S SONG 'FRIDAY NIGHTS' COULD BE LOCATED. THIS IS BECAUSE THERE ARE A VARIETY OF MUSIC MAGAZINES. THESE INCLUDE: TERRORIZER, METAL HAMMER, KERRANG, Q, MOJO, ROCK SOUND AND NME. THIS LIST RANGES FROM THE GENRES EXTREME METAL TO COMMERCIAL INDIE AND POP MUSIC.

Terrorizer is not the magazine to advertise in because it includes Extreme Metal music like the Black Metal band 'Behemoth.' This is not the kind of magazine Pistola Kicks fans read. Metal Hammer is similar but less extreme thus making it unsuitable for the magazine advert.

Kerrang could be a place to promote in as Indie bands are often featured. However, Pistola Kicks's audience is most likely to find the music mentioned in this magazine too heavy and are therefore less likely to buy it. As a result Kerrang is also not suitable for my advert.

Q and Mojo tend to feature Classic Rock bands such as 'Thin Lizzy' rather than Indie bands such as 'Pidgeon Detectives' and 'Pistola Kicks.' As a result Pistola Kicks fans are not likely to read this magazine thus making it inappropriate to advertise in.

This leaves Rock Sound and NME which are most likely to be the magazines where our advert will be located. This is because these magazines regularly feature Indie bands similar to 'Pistola Kicks' such as 'The Pigeon Detectives' and 'The Futureheads.' Out of these two NME is the magazine which Pistola Kick's audience is most likely to read therefore this is where our magazine advert will be located.

OUR MAGAZINE ADVERT WILL BE LOCATED IN NME!
